Our Power Generation customers require rapid response to the conceptual design of solutions that meet their needs. Our current organization lacks that capability and expertise. Reporting to the Director of Power Plant Solutions, the Manager for Power Plant Solutions will be instrumental in assisting our global sales force?s response to customer needs. He/She will conceptualize a solution and integrate internal input to pursue a power generation sales opportunity.
? Define detailed requirements and/or regulations. Integrate engineering input before the formal bid process, including the perspective on market regulations and the implications for how that affects the design/delivery of a project.
? Support development of market strategies through systematic analysis of opportunities to assess risks and opportunities in new and existing markets based on experience
? Development and training of Sales Development Manager (SDM) community to increase knowledge of integration of Rolls-Royce equipment into power plants.
? Provide feedback and influence the organization on market and product requirements that should be considered in product development
? Collaborate with SDMs in regional sales team to develop opportunities prior to bid-no bid through:
? Acting as the technical support to ensure we can respond quickly and accurately to customer requests.
? Development of integrated solutions by early involvement in the sales development process, guiding the customer solution around Rolls-Royce technology and customer needs.
? Defining strategies and solutions for non-standard requirements and gaining internal support / development with commercial, engineering and balance of plant groups prior to RFQ.
? Understanding the competitive implications of solutions in order to optimize the Rolls-Royce position.
? Providing guidance to the organization during formal bid process to improve the level of detail provided in the proposal and enable the customer to better judge applicability based on the solution.
? Being internally and externally recognized as a subject matter expert for power plant development within specialist area for integration of Rolls-Royce equipment into power plants
? Developing working relationships within the technical organization of key customers.
