Based in Winsford, Cheshire you'll also plan the purchase of materials, parts, components, services and supplies into the business. What's more, you'll develop supplier relationships in order to set collective continuous improvement. We continue to develop relationships with customers in an expanding international market from our bases in the UK, sending selected people on assignments around the globe. Our engine support through MissionCare (TM) continues to generate significant revenues across a wide range of engines.
Your Key Accountabilities:
- You'll identify material, component, and related requirements from Engineering (new products) and Customer Services (spares) and conduct up-front purchasing activity in line with customer deliverables.
- In front-end procurement mode you'll analyse data and determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- You'll review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyse trends, follow up orders placed, agree payment terms, and maintain necessary records.
- You'll coordinate and follow up with Project Management, Production, Quality, Engineering and Planning personnel to ensure that purchasing activity provides an appropriate solution to each respective area of the business.
