An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer (NPI & CI) in the Specialised Fabrications (Hucknall Facility) Manufacturing Engineering Team.
As part of the Installations & Controls SCU, Specialised Fabrications is part of the Global Gas Turbine Supply Chain, supporting Large Civil, Small & Medium Civil and some Military Engine programs. Based in Hucknall, Specialised Fabrications has a large product portfolio that consists, in the main of fabricated engine ancillary products in a variety of stainless steel, titanium & nickel based alloy materials.
The primary role is focused on either New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or Continuous Improvement (CI) of components, working closely with Design, Shop Floor Operatives and other multi-disciplined teams.
The Supply Chain is the largest single business in the Rolls-Royce Group, made up of nearly 17,000 people. It is responsible for the integrated design, manufacture and supply of gas turbine components throughout the product lifecycle.
We are a heavily integrated business and work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Planning & Control and Quality, together with HR and Finance to provide the necessary tools, processes and capability to deliver value. This is the one place where an overview of all these aspects across the whole of
the Group's businesses can be gained.
We deliver c£3.7bn of hardware from a combination of 20 Rolls-Royce domestic manufacturing facilities, six joint ventures and 650 suppliers. We deliver a total of 33,500 active parts which equates to 260m parts delivered per annum. Currently we are also supporting five primary new product introduction programmes.
Your key accountabilities as a Manufacturing Engineer (NPI&CI) will be to:
support various improvement programmes, including robust technical packages, process capability improvements, cost reduction activities and quality improvements.
be responsible for the Quality and Cost of components ensuring the manufacturing processes employed meet the customer delivery requirements.
continuously improve and drive towards world-class quality product and process performance.
