On what led her to Rolls-Royce

“I learned very early on in my career that the real challenges lie in industry, because it is always evolving and adapting to the external environment – particularly since customer demands are ever increasing.

“And I have always been fascinated by the breadth and diversity of experiences offered by the aerospace industry, beginning my career at Singapore Airlines.

“So, I was attracted to Rolls-Royce because it presented me with the opportunity to join a formidable competitor in the aerospace industry.”

On the challenges facing her at the moment

“Today, Rolls-Royce commands more than 30 per cent market share in the airline industry and is aggressively gearing up for a larger market share through continuous investment in technology, infrastructure and its people.

“My contribution to this forward progress involves the standardisation and streamlining of supply chain processes, reducing duplication for a leaner organisation that’s in a better position for international growth.

“The overall aim is to dramatically increase productivity and also standardise processes across geographical boundaries to pave the way for future expansion.”

On how it feels to be part of Rolls-Royce’s future

“It gives me great pride to be part of an industry leader that has made significant headway in the last two decades and is well poised to continue to grow and strengthen its position.

“These are exciting times for Rolls-Royce and will be for anyone who chooses to step up to the challenge.”
