Who We Are
Rolls-Royce Naval Marine, formerly known as Bird-Johnson Company, is headquartered in Walpole, MA. Since 1953, the company has grown to be one of the largest, most experienced propeller manufacturers in the United States.

What We Do
We are a high technology company of almost 160 people, which manufactures variable pitch propellers for naval and commercial ships. We have the capability to design and manufacture "state-of-the-art" controllable pitch and fixed pitch propeller systems up to the largest sizes and the highest power requirements. Rolls-Royce Naval Marine also has expertise in design, engineering and hydrodynamics. We operate modern facilities for casting, machining, assembly, inspection and testing as well as overhaul and repair through our locations including Pascagoula, MS and Annapolis, MD. In addition, we provide after market services for all commercial and naval customers.

Where We Live
Located in Walpole, MA, Rolls-Royce Naval Marine Inc. has been a friendly neighbor in the community for over 40 years. It's presence in the town has provided employment for many local residents as well as prosperity to the community. Situated on over 20 acres of land, Rolls-Royce offers a campus-like atmosphere allowing employees the opportunity to enjoy its beauty.

Walpole has a stable mix of commercial, personal and industrial land use. Located on 20 square miles, the community offers several parks, town pools, progressive school system and a town forest which has attracted many families to settle down here, thus becoming a bedroom community. Our location allows easy access to Boston, Cape Cod and other historic communities in New England.
