Rolls-Royce offers the following work experience placements within term time:

| Year 10 school student aged 14 – 15 | 1 week | It is government policy that school pupils should have a period of work experience in year 10, as part of their educational programme. | Year 11 school student aged 15 – 16 | 1 week | Priority is given to supporting Year 10 one-week placements, however if the school’s work experience week is during Year 11 curriculum then we would be able to consider the students application form. | Online application form NOTE: please make sure you read all the information contained within the work experience webpages before you submit your application form |
| Sixth Form Students Aged 16 - 19 | 1 week | Placements may be offered to sixth form students with an engineering focus, particularly specialising in the STEM Subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Manufacturing).
These placements are usually business supported. | Engineering / Manufacturing Diploma Levels 2 or 3 only | 1 or 2 weeks | Engineering / Manufacturing Diplomas is a new initiative, which Rolls-Royce has been involved in the development of. | Online application form NOTE: please make sure you read all the information contained within the work experience webpages before you submit your application form |
| Derby City Young Apprentice Programme in Engineering | 2 weeks at Rolls-Royce and 2 weeks at an another engineering organisation | Rolls-Royce is committed to supporting approximately 20 students from Derby City schools completing a Young Apprentice Scheme. They attend Rolls-Royce one day per week whilst completing their NVQ Engineering related qualifications. As part of their 2-year course they are required to complete 4 weeks of work experience within Engineering environments. | For the Young Apprenticeship Programme please apply online |
